FG to enable diversification and economic recovery

The permanent secretary, federal ministry of environment, Shehu Mahmud Ahmed has disclosed that the ministry would facilitate enabling environment for private sector in the country to thrive that would in turn lead to economic recovery, diversification, growth and sustainable development.

Ahmed stated this at a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital as part of the activities lined up for the 11th national council on environment summit.
Ahmed added that the session would focus on climate change, renewable energy and waste management, environment health, stressing that it will also review the success of the last council meeting and meeting decisions.
On his part, the Ogun state commissioner for environment, Bolaji Oyeleye says every serious government should take her environment with topmost importance.
