Viral video of a fearless 6-year-old boy playing with 20-foot-long python in floodwaters in Vietnam

A fearless three-year-old boy has been seen playing with a deadly 20ft Python in floodwaters in Vietnam, as his family watches on. The picture below shows the young boy reportedly named Truong comfortably playing and laughing while sitting on the giant serpent, in a flooded yard in the Vietnamese district of Ha Trung. The boy's aunt, An Nguyen, rubbished rumours that the footage was fake and told the Daily Mail that the family have had the python for four years as a pet. "The python is 80kg...and very gentle. It was a rainy day and the water flooded to the edge of the yard. So they put the python in there to play and relax," she said. Last week, destructive floods labelled the worst in years, battered northern and central Vietnam been, resulting in at least 54 deaths and dozens more missing, the disaster prevention agency said on Friday. ISIS threatens to attack the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia

ISIS propaganda chiefs have threatened to carry out a terror attack at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.  The terrorist group published an image of an ISIS fighter carrying a rifle and a bomb while standing in front of a football stadium. The official symbol of the 2018 World Cup finals is also included in the photo which is interpreted as an alarming promise to bring mayhem to the tournament. The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played across 11 cities in Russia from 14 June to 15 July, when the final will be played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. World Bank Group says it has an investment portfolio of about 8.5 billion dollars scattered across states and regions in Nigeria to support inclusive economic development and youth empowerment.   According to Mrs Olufunke Olufon, the Senior Communications Officer, World Bank Nigeria, she stated that the investments were to assist the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to reduce poverty and foster prosperity for all Nigerians.   She also noted that the explanation followed concerns raised by Nigerians over the comment by World Bank President, Mr Jim Yong Kim that President Muhammadu Buhari asked the bank to shift its intervention focus to North Eastern states.  She said that the bank was also working with federal and state governments, as well as development partners on speedy delivery of critical interventions to people of the North East who urgently needed assistance.   She added that “in 2015, the Government of Nigeria requested World Bank supp

An Atlanta mom, Lamora Williams, 24, is accused of killing her two sons after she allegedly put them in an oven and turned it on.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that investigators say Lamora Williams put the boys, Ke’Younte Penn, 2, and Ja’Karter Williams,1 in the oven sometime between midnight Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday, and then showed their father footage of the grisly aftermath. The 24-year-old single mother of four called the boys’ father, Jameel Penn, Friday night to show him live video of the crime scene,  including the children lying burned on the floor,  which prompted him to call 911. Williams was arrested on felony murder charges on Friday night and was ordered held without bond in Fulton County jail. She told cops that she left the kids in a sitter’s care and found the kids dead when she came home late Friday. Donald Trump's net worth drops by a whooping $600 million in new Forbes' list

The Forbes list of 400 richest Americans shows that US President, Donald Trump's fortune fell by $600 million to $3.1 billion. As a result he dropped to #248 on the list, after coming in at #156 last year. The magazine attributed his decline in wealth to "a tough New York real estate market, particularly for retail locations; a costly lawsuit and an expensive presidential campaign."  Bill Gates tops the list for the 24th straight year with a net worth estimated at $89 billion. Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, worth $81.5 billion, held on to the No. 2 spot he first claimed in 2016. Warren Buffett, remains No. 3 with a fortune worth $78 billion. Overall the richest 400 Americans now have a combined net worth of $2.7 trillion, another record according to the magazine's ranking, up from $2.4 trillion in 2016. That comes out to an average net worth of $6.75 billion for those on the list.

Facebook acquires popular teen app 'tbh'

Facebook has just bought a popular new teen app called  TBH . Teens have been flocking to the app named after the acronym frequently used in texts,  "to be honest"  to participate in anonymous polls and give feedback to friends. The app creators control the content of the polls, like "Best person to go on a roadtrip with." and the concept has spread like wildfire amongst teens. The app is designed for people who are 13 and older, and according to the company, over 5 million people have downloaded it in just the past few weeks. And it's only available on iOS for now. Facebook confirmed the acquisition news but didn't disclose terms of the deal but the social media company said tbh's four co-creators Nikita Bier, Erik Hazzard, Kyle Zaragoza, and Nicolas Ducdodon will join Facebook's Menlo Park headquarters.

A nursing mother identified as Mrs Monica Ukwudi Akpanke, lost her life in a fatal accident along the Markurdi International market road yesterday October 16th. Controversial prophet and leader of Remnant Pentecostal Church, Patrick Phillip Mugadza who said President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe will die today, October 17, 2017, has made a surprise u-turn. Recall that in January, the prophet in a statement said that President will die on the 17th of October 2017. Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello has likened striking workers in the state as political servants. Governor bello disclosed this after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. Speaking after a thirty minutes closed door meeting with President Buhari, governor Bello told journalists that his government cleared a four month backlog of salaries owed workers after assuming office. He however expressed delight stressing that the state is only owing August and September salaries contrary to many months of non-payment of monthly earnings of workers. He said his administration would remain focused particularly when it affects workers. Bello also said his administration is on top of the security situation in the state. The governor noted that he was in the villa to brief President Buhari of the happenings in kogi after his return from the medical vacation to the United Kingdom.

GOVT confirms monkey-pox suicide patient

The Bayelsa state government has confirmed that one of the patients receiving treatment for Monkey Pox at the quarantine centre of the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital has committed suicide. This was made known at a joint briefing by the commissioner for health, Ebitimitula Etebu in Yenagoa. Addressing newsmen, the state commissioner for health said the deceased was among the patients responding to treatment and did not die as a result of the virus. On his part, the commissioner for information said the state government is working round the clock to curtail the situation as the health commissioner spoke on the confirmed cases. Meanwhile, the confirmation by the Federal government of three confirmed cases of Monkey Pox outbreak in Bayelsa state, have led to the state government intensified campaign in the eight local government areas of the state.
