Striking workers are political civil servants- Yahaya Bello
Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello has likened striking workers in the state as political servants.
Governor bello disclosed this after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
Speaking after a thirty minutes closed door meeting with President Buhari, governor Bello told journalists that his government cleared a four month backlog of salaries owed workers after assuming office.
He however expressed delight stressing that the state is only owing August and September salaries contrary to many months of non-payment of monthly earnings of workers.
He said his administration would remain focused particularly when it affects workers.
Bello also said his administration is on top of the security situation in the state.
The governor noted that he was in the villa to brief President Buhari of the happenings in kogi after his return from the medical vacation to the United Kingdom.
